How to manage Shared with me section

All the files and folders shared will be listed under the Shared with me section.

Files and Folders under this section can be shared either with editor permission or viewer permission.

The file-sharing option:

For sharing any asset, the system should have privileges as follows:

  • View Privilege

The files or folders shared with viewer permission can only view the folder and in the case of files, it can only download the file. These types of files and folders cannot perform actions like those in the former.

  • Share(Optional). If mentioned that the user can share the asset

The files or folders with share permission can be shared by the user when the user has share privilege as well. If the user has a Share privilege, the user should be able to share the file/folder with view privilege only. 

  • Edit Privilege

The files or folders shared with editor permission can perform operations such as create, edit, delete. It can also perform file upload, add edit and delete the section.

  • Share(Optional). If mentioned that  the user can share the asset

The files or folders with share permission can be shared by the user when the user has share privilege as well. If the user has a Share privilege, the user should be able to share the file/folder with edit privilege only. 

  • Delete(Optional). If mentioned that  the user can delete the asset 

The files or folders with delete permission can be shared by the user when the user has delete privilege as well. If the user has a Delete privilege, the user should be able to share the file/folder with edit privilege only. 

The user can download this file by clicking on the download icon with respect to the required file as shown above.

  • Edit: By clicking on the Edit button, you can update the file as required.
  • Delete: By clicking on the Delete button, you can delete the corresponding file.
  • Archive: By clicking on the Archive button, the corresponding file will get archived.
  • Audit Log: By clicking on the Audit Log, you will get the details regarding the file
  • Details: By clicking on the Details button, you will get the details of the corresponding file such as the date on which it is created, last modified date, the permission associated with the corresponding file, etc.,
