The Content Library is where you manage documents and other media that you plan to share with your audience in Meeting. It supports lots of file types including all office document formats as well as MP4s and many image formats.

You open your Content Library by clicking the  icon from your options toolbar on the left of the meeting screen.

 

Uploading a media file

Once inside your meeting, to upload a file to your content library – follow these steps:

  • Click on the  button from your options toolbar on the left-hand side of your screen.
  • Click the  button
  • Click the  button
  • Select the appropriate file from the browser dialog and hit the Open button.

This will send the file to our converters to prepare them for rendering in the meeting.
Wait for the conversion to complete, click the green Done button and you will see the file now available in your content library.

Share files directly from a web resource without having to upload them to Mykademy Live.

Note: The web resource needs to be universally accessible (not blocked off with log-ins). The supported files are mp4, mp3, png, jpg, jpeg

To add a file from a URL in the content library, follow these steps:

  • Click the  button
  • Click the  button
  • Paste the URL in the dialog box.

Add web apps (google docs, sheets, etc.) and collaborate directly in Mykademy Live sessions without sharing your screen.

To add web apps, follow these steps:

Once inside your meeting, to upload a file to your content library – follow these steps:

  • Click on the  button from your options toolbar on the left-hand side of your screen.
  • Click the  button
  • Click the  button
  • A dialog box will pop up. Enter a name for your web app and paste the web app link. Click Add.

Your web app will appear in the list of contents in the Content Library. To open the web app, simply double-click the app name.

 

Sharing a document with your audience

Once you have your file prepared and ready in your media library, sharing them with your audience in the meeting is as easy as finding the file in your media library and double-clicking it.

File Preview

In a busy Media Library, we wanted to make it easy for you to identify the content of your files and save you the time of searching through your media.

  • When you hover on your files, you’ll see an eye next to the file name.
  • Clicking on the eye will review a preview of the file.
  • If the file has multiple pages, there will be arrows that allow you to click through each.
  • Clicking on the  button shares the file with your audience.

Create Folders

A great way to sort out and organize your files is to use folders on the media library.

Once inside your session, click on the media library icon 

  • Click  create and name a new folder. Once your folder is created you will be able to move it, rename it, or delete it by clicking on the  icon that appears on the right.
  • Clicking the  next to the file name allows you to move it into a folder, rename, and delete it as well.

Once inside your meeting, to upload a YouTube video to your content library – follow these steps:

  • Click on the  button from your options toolbar on the left-hand side of your screen.
  • Click the  button
  • Click the  button.
  • Paste the YouTube link in the dialog and click the green Add button.
  • Playing the video in a meeting is as simple as double-clicking it and then pressing the  button in the Content Viewer window.

Playing Vimeo videos

Once inside your meeting, to upload a Vimeo video to your content library – follow these steps:

  • Click on the  button from your options toolbar on the left-hand side of your screen.
  • Click the  button
  • Click the chrome_2oildpt2lb.png button.
  • Paste the Vimeo link in the dialog and click the green Add button.
  • Playing the video in a meeting is as simple as double-clicking it and then pressing the play button in the Content Viewer window.
